Updated: Jul 13, 2020

Here are 10 great books that will inspire you to pursue your gifts. You can start reading these books today and learn lessons that will stick with you forever.

1. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho I read this book in 9th grade and fell in love with its many messages. The Alchemist teaches about acceptance of others, the law of attraction, and faith. This book is great at sharing life lessons. This is my #1 must read for anyone because it influences my life in so many ways. It is a story of a boy who wishes to travel as a shepherd and decided to follow his dream across the world to find a treasure.

2. Eat That Frog! by Brian Tracy

Eat That Frogis a great book to teach you about how to limit procrastination. The book explains why you should do your most complicated task first, especially in the morning, because then you have one less hoop to jump through for the rest of the day.

3. Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

This is recommended by every successful and influential person, yet I have not made time to read this book. I do know that the message involves the law of attraction to bring wealth into your life. Think And Grow Rich was written based on interviews from successful people like Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Charles Schwab, and Alexander Graham Bell.

4. Smart Women Finish Rich by David Bach I was given this book by my mother. Smart Women Finish Rich is not just for women, but it was created for women because it was written during a time that women made less or were left broke by their divorced husbands. This can teach a young woman how to build a financially stable future for unexpected life events.

5. The Secret by Rhonda Byrne The Secret is a book that I recommend for people of all ages because it teaches the law of attraction. If a kid wants a bike, like the example used in the movie, then they know how to manifest it. If your you want to get an A in your class, then you have to proper tools to make it happen.

6. Who Moved My Cheese? For Teens by Spencer Johnson There are three types of Who Moved My Cheese. You can read the original, for teens, for kids. I read the original book and I received the message loud and clear. This is about how to keep a positive attitude when the world continues to change direction or seems to put you in bad situations. All versions provide situations the would be best understood by the intended age group.

7. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki I have read the sample and heard pieces, but it is more than enough to recommend this amazing book to you. This book can teach the secrets to financial prosperity because he has learned so much valuable information. If you wanted a book that would give you the highest return on investment, this it it. Robert Kiyosaki will tell you the lessons he learned from the two most important men in his life, his real dad that is poor and his friend’s dad that is rich.

8. 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey This book is a spin-off of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and there is an workbook you can purchase. It can help you with the social aspect of juggling school, but I would suggest the original if you want you to read about habits of the successful and wealthy.

9. The Richest Kids In America by Mark Victor Hansen This book is #1 on my list to read soon. I ran across this book after reading articles about how good it is. Hansen wrote about successful kids making money from business. His idea was to talk about accomplished children that were not stars on tv, but created a business.

10. I Am Malala by Christina Lamb & Malala Yousafzai I watched the movie and I absolutely love it. She is such a powerful teenager that has achieved and made a name for herself through the terrorism that has forced her family out of their home. I would only recommend this for mature older children that can handle terrorism because she was shot in the head and still prevailed. Malala is an amazing role model to any boy or girl who wants to make an impact.

Now that you have 10 great books to start reading, what will you choose? Each book tells a different story and explains a different lesson that anyone can use.
